Making wontons
The spread of delicious food
We continued on with party-central here because February is just chock full of birthdays and holidays. To celebrate Chinese New Year 2011 we tried to find our most "Asiatic" friends to gather round us and EAT! I made won tons. The fried won tons are undoubtably the tastiest dish on earth, well worth the effort. But for the 3rd year in a row, I slaughtered the soup won tons and they turned out to be a noodle dish with won tons. Bleh! C & L made some delicious Taiwanese food and also brought a book that helped us all analyze each other based on our Chinese calendar signs. I'm a monkey, Marc's a sheep! It was fun AND delicious. Next year, I'll make my mom's delicious fried rice.
I'm a sheep, too. Here's to us, although I don't fit the bill much. Do send the recipe for the won tons. I've been craving Asian lately, and there's not much authentic here in Wyoming. Go figure.
