Happy Valentine's Day!
I believe that we can enjoy this holiday. I think of it as an extension of Christmas, the Christmas spirit, etc. A day to keep up the love and charity that permeated the previous holidays. Marc thinks it's a bunch of consumerist-driven hogwash. But it didn't stop him from being a romantic. Granted, he was post-call, but that meant he had all afternoon to make me a lovely and delicious dinner, spend time at the park with the girls and I (pics forthcoming), not eat even a single sugar cookie that I so laboriously attempted (more on that later), and surprise me with fudge and a delightful serenade from our church youth. We even managed to make a few valentine's this year. My gift to him was - not chocolate - but a fruit salad. I know my man and his favs.
To wrap up the holiday we plan to play Battle of the Sexes this weekend!
And to call attention to my blog's mini-header... one of my favorites quotes (and I have many):
Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get - only with what you are expecting to give - which is everything. ~Katharine Hepburn

That spread looks amazing! You two are the sweetest love birds. I love how much you light up when Marc gets home from work. Your family is truly your number 1!!! :) :)
ReplyDeleteHi, I have a question about your site, would you mind emailing me back @ kthomas@primroseschools.com?
