Sophie was blessed in church by her daddy on Sunday the 16th of January. We had Marc's parents out for a visit (yay!) and many dear friends and Uncle Ryan around to participate in her blessing (thank you to all!). It was a lovely day, except that we didn't get a family photo. Bleh! I wanted to risk being late to church to capture a photo before things got hectic, but Marc insisted we leave on time. He promised we'd get a picture in front of the temple {oh how perfect that would be!} right after church. But, true to my gut feeling, church was a busy time for all of us with meetings, teaching, family, nursing, etc. So, no photo. I guess it's just as well. Madeleine's finger print is on the lens of our camera so the picture would be marred anyways.
The important thing is that Sophie received her baby blessing and it was beautiful, she was lovely and well-behaved, I had dear friends who helped by taking notes, and we are so glad that Marc is a worthy priesthood holder who was able to give her a spirit-inspired blessing. She is a blessing in our lives.
oh, it was lovely! i'm so sorry about the lack of picture. next time you want a family one, let me know and i can pretend to take good pictures.
