Sesame Place

With Marc's relatively flexible and easy last month of intern year, he enthusiastically suggested a trip to Sesame Place. Since we are a fan of daddy-time, vacation, and a military benefit of free entrance we happily went along! It was such a great little trip for our family. Madeleine is at such a great age to appreciate this kind of thing. Even though she doesn't really know the Sesame Street characters, she loved the energy of the place and gave one quick hug to the one SS character that we saw there. The drive was great, we packed our own food, we played in the sun, Madeleine had her first experiences on amusement park rides (even a roller coaster, which she said was scary), played in the water, took pictures, took pictures where we weren't looking at the camera, spent one whole day just running around in swimsuits between the dry and wet rides at the park, Sophie made love to a freezing cold water bottle (teething!), stayed in a hotel, visited a few dear friends in the Philly area, went to our old favorite Philly kids' haunt - the Please Touch Museum, ate delicious burgers and a shake at Bobby Flay's Burger Palace (we recommend), and basically loved it. What a great family trip. Start off the summer with fun? Check!
