On the Move

Finally! Madeleine walks. I admit I've been a little excited for this day to come. She walked a few steps on August 11th, her first, all by herself, but it really took until last Tuesday, September 8th, to really get her toddling around well and with confidence. She's a cautious girl so even though it's been about a month that she ~could~ walk, she had the capability but lacked the confidence.

News about this little girl... she can say "hot," "ball," and "hop," "no," "whoa!" and a few others that I can't remember right now. She's 15+ months old and still a little adorable squirt. She loves to pat her belly when she's full and point to my nose and eyes. She loves singing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and can make quite a few animal noises, although most of them sound like she's trying to clear her throat. She likes the library and computers. Her excema is pretty much gone {hallelujah!!!} and we've gotten pretty good at keeping her away from her allergens - dairy and egg. She's a tan little baby and unfortunately still favors a pacifier, but by Christmas I think we'll help her give it up completely.

And at her 15 month check up she weighed in a 16 pounds 8 ounces. Teensy weensy! But I don't mind. Especially before she was walking I was very happy that I didn't have to heft a chunky baby with my weakling arms.

And so... some pictures and a video of her walking! We LOVE her. Is it wrong to be so charmed by my baby? Well, wrong or not, I AM!
