Madeleine's Mouth

Yet more hilarious things come out of this toddler's mouth. She makes me laugh hard, roll my eyes, shake my head, worry a little, and giggle. What a girl. What a girl. Where does she get this stuff???

*{throw back to her TV love - Diego} "Don't eat my shoes, puma!"

*{playing with the Tron toy that some poor child lost at the Air & Space Museum - his/her loss, Madeleine's treasure} "I want to shoot you!... in the eye!"

*{she has learned that Marc and I were married in the temple, and she loves to say that she will get married in the temple someday, so one morning she comes solemnly up to me and holds my hand} "I want to marry you, Mom! Marry in the temple. C'mon Mom, let's get married in the temple." [insert solemn walking hand in hand, then she faces me] "I love you forever ever ever." [insert dancing]

*{using Marc's nickname for Sophie} "Sophicita! Sophicita! Wake up Sophicita!"

*{in the bathtub} "Mom! I am SO wet!" (Ahhhh, yeah, kid, that's right!)

*{playing in the box that our new couch was packed in; it's her fort/playhouse; conversation with herself, playing two different characters: housekeeper and princess} "Knock, knock!" "Yes?" "Oh! Princess! Oh, you beyooootiful princess! It's raining! C'mon! Come in! Not in rain! Want to come in my fort, princess?" "OKAY!" "Come in out of rain."

*{coming out of the laundry room} "You're my sweetheart. Okay sweetheart?"

*{after one of her toys "dies" which they all inevitably do at some point during playtime; grabs the stethoscope and listens to their heart} "Oh! They died! [soft voice] Died. So dead. [loud voice] I fix you! Listen to your heart. You feel better!"

It's hard to capture Madeleine on camera these days. She moves so fast and often does not want to pose for the camera. So at least I can capture her words, which at this point in time, seem almost more entertaining than how she looks. Except for her crazy hair and chocolate lined mouth. I'll have to get that one on camera soon.
