A Day in the Life of Me... or in other words, me and ma vie... selections and excerpts from three journals... (my friend/District Leader, Raphael and I used to pull out our mission journals and look back, asking each other "what were you doing on this day a year ago?" I LOVED these reminiscings).

"I am starting my Spring Break! My flight from Boston to here with Leah left at 2:45 (we actually felw Delta not TWA due to mechanical difficulties) and here I am! No stops between me and Paris now! It's glorious! I was back in the college life up til 7 a.m. this morning! homework, laundry, email all last night and from 5-7 a.m. this morning I did physics. And now... well now I drop the student facade and take upon myself a traveler's persona. France is before me! For 12 days! Hopefully I will write lots in here...
"My flight here was extremely pleasant, as all flights go. First, no bags to check; through much throwing out and giving up, Leah and the others convinced me to bring only carry-ons! ...Then! My ears didn't hurt at all! Knock on wood. It was wonderful! :) I have so much to be thankfrul for. Truly. This trip in and of itself. Oh and my parents. Geez oh pete I love them..."

"Eio! quel longtemps depuis j'ai ecrit! Alors... devine de quoi je fais en ce moment? Je suis en avion...a New Haven. Avec Marc!!!
"Since the last that I wrote... so much has occurred. Finished up classes - Biostats midterm, Religion Take-Home midterm, and Enviro Risk Assessment Midterm. apparently with all that sutyding I forgot how to spell... And Tuesday night, after a long day of classes and homework and group work with my Community Project which Ming, Sarah, Angela, and I affectionately termed 'Chlamydia Craze.' After that long night and a ride home in ming's BMW I took a nap & finally Marc succeeded in waking me up so I could pack for my too-early flight. Jeremy took me to Hartford and I flew pleasantly to Washignton D.C. Yay! A couple trains (MARC train, ironicly) and a Metro or two later I was running to meet Dawn in her quaint, colorful apartment! I was so exhausted! But Anne & I got warm under Dawn's covers (no heat in the apartment, had to use blankets as we chatted), and we ate scrumptious food & then spent an absolutely wonderful afternoon with my two dears - Anne & Dawn - in D.C. at the Smithsonian & the Brown v. Board of Education exhibit.
...Interviews. Well, first I was quite tired. Then, I had a nerdy tour guide with a very cool co-applicant. I schmoozed with some of the deans, and briefings int eh morning were okay, but the interviews. Well, I got the whole spectrum." [This was when I had my med school interview at USHUS.]

"Dear world, it is true. Baby will love life just so much! Work has been so busy and weekend fill up fast. It was spring break this last week for everyone else but for Marc and I our schedules changed very little. Let's see if I can remember any updates...this will be a "listing" entry, not a flowing entry.
"This past week: FHE with old, with old inactive member mom and her son on Monday night, made cookies for work. Busy, awesome work meeting figuring out maternity leave & summer staffing & changes for the future. Thursday night YW planning mtg at the Stake. OB visit/ultrasound on Wednesday morning out in the middle of nowhere. She's fine!
"I'm 29 1/2 weeks today. She's ~2 lbs 13 oz, which is right in the 49th%! She's wonderful! During the ultrasound her head was waaaaaay down in my abdomen, like waaaaay down, feet in the air....
"Yesterday was almost all play. 9:45 am prenatal yoga - my first time and although it's sort of cheesy, I think it's really good for me. my arms are so weak! I need to be more flexible! I have paid for 4 more classes...'
What will 15 March 2009 bring??
I'll be sure to write in my journal.
