We just had Madeleine's 9 month visit and it was kind of reminiscent of my 4th month prenatal exam. The medically sound advice given in each case? EAT MORE! Oh yeah! That's what I like to hear! We love food, and to be advised not only to eat more of it but also more fattening forms of it makes my tummy and mouth smile. "Put margarine on everything! Give her fried fish sticks! Feed her as often as she wants!" they said. Now, of course, I'm not worried, but she did fall off the growth charts, so for "good" measure they are sending her to get some blood work done. But the girl seems happy and healthy to me, so I'm not worried. Still... we're excited to start her going at the baby buffet!
This squirt measured in at 13 lbs 8 oz today and is in the 30th %tile for height.
Other quirks about our girl?
She drinks prune juice daily from a shot glass.
She loves dogs.
She likes to "mmmm" herself to sleep.
She gets really excited when she eats - fists up and shaking, this intense body shiver, and eyes all wide.
She likes watching 30Rock with her daddy.
She's happiest when she's outdoors.

It gets so fun when they start really coming out and showing their unique personalities! She's such a beautiful girl!

ReplyDeleteShe is soooo tiny and cute. Isabelle weighed the same as Madeleine now when she was only 4 months. Keep soaking up every minute with her. There is nothing like being a mom.

ReplyDeleteI guess on the positive side with the growth is that her TINY mother doesn't have to carry around a huge baby. Good luck with the fattening-up project. : )
What a cutie! She looks happy and healthy to me too. It's true, I have always wished I would get the order to eat more and fatty is okay. Never happened, never will. Enjoy it for me! :)
ReplyDeleteYes! We had to beef up Dylan when he was younger too! They called it Power Packing!Like he's gotta beef up for a weight lifting competition or something:) Sweet! They even told me to mix instant breakfast into his milk! She's gonna love it! FOOOD!
