Snow Days!

Well, we topped 3 feet! It's been an exciting few days. Our favorite was the thunder and lightening combined with the blizzard. Marc came in from shoveling during this weather-phenomenon and stated, "I think the Second Coming is near!"

We had lots of fun. Our old camera died and my new birthday camera didn't arrive until yesterday due to the snow, so our pics are limited. I did manage to capture a picture of our back deck buried under snow drifts. But we had lots of fun shoveling and playing in the snow each day. We saw our neighbors a great deal and had several game nights/days with friends from our apartment building. We loved it! Our friend Leah walked over to us and hung out with us: studying, shoveling snow, studying, eating, playing in the snow, playing games, studying, eating, chatting. Madeleine really loved her company and they listened to tunes and played well together. :) We made a 6' snowman but again, we had limited pictures, so just one shot! Madeleine oscillated between numbness, sadness, and joy at being in the snow. I'd say about 1/3 of the time you could visibly see her enjoying the powder. (Bummer that the pictures are turned sideways! Sorry!)

We like snow days! Unfortunately, Marc is back to school now and Madeleine and I are stuck at home - our cars are still surrounded by large snow banks after clearing them off. Well, here's to more hot chocolate and games!
