Marc was ordained a High Priest in church a few months ago. He had the opportunity of planning the High Priest Holiday dinner, and for a while he was quite stressed out about it. I make a note of the dinner here because it was our first time as a family interacting with many of the other High Priests and their spouses. Unfortunately we didn't get many pictures. But the evening was really wonderful.
We got to know some interesting facts about people, ate delicious Chinese food (take out! I just wasn't prepared to be cooking anything during finals and right after Thanksgiving), and had brief testimony meeting highlighted by Brother Jiminez (who moved away to Utah/Brazil shortly thereafter) and Elder and Sister Heyman (who completed their mission and moved home to Utah shortly thereafter).
I'm so glad that we got to see and know some of those men and their families a bit better. Marc and I definitely felt a great love and kinship with these wonderful people and despite the business of the season, we felt like this dinner was a unique blessing and moment of peace that started off our month of December on the right foot.
