Babysitting GC Weekend

We spent General Conference weekend with our "cousins" the Bendixens, in Exton, PA. Paul is my father's cousin, so that makes him my... second cousin but older? And his kids are my second cousins once removed?? Who knows. In any case, it was fun to babysit the 5 kids (ranging in age from 5 to 16!) all weekend in their awesome house with their peppy little dog.

We alternated our time with soccer (it was an unusually warm October weekend, just delightful!) and watching general conference. I cooked and started nagging the kids and Marc to clean. We rode bikes, hit up yard sales, Marc took the boys to the Priesthood session, and we lounged with the kids. It was so fun! I definitely need to re-read the talks from the Sunday morning session of General Conference because Marc and I were busy trying to keep the kids interested through Conference BINGO and keeping them out of the candy we had bought for winning a blackout for Bingo. But how I do LOVE General Conference and the revelation and guidance that comes through inspired, loving leaders!

  1. Looks like fun - and Conference BINGO...brilliant! I think my Grandma would like that.
