This is true. Unbelievable, right? The first two years of our marriage, Marc and I rarely watched TV and when we did it was the nature channel or WHYY (the public education station) only and briefly. But, when Nicole and Tom helped move most of our junk up here to our new apartment, they endowed us with the capability of watching TV! They attached the antennas and programmed our channels! Fairly simple to do, but Marc and I were so apathetic to TV as a whole that we never bothered to do it. (Well, except this year, I had fostered a complete fascination with America's Next Top Model, which I could get decently enough on YouTube; and our love-hate relationship with Lost, which we got online.) When Tom first hooked us up with the basic channels, Marc and I still couldn't understand what the TV was capable of. The first week we didn't turn it on, and then the second week we only watched National Geographic and more nature stuff.
But now... now! I have watched 3 full nights of sitcoms and the like! The Simpsons, Friends, Seinfeld, Malcom in the Middle... it's amazing. I quite enjoyed myself. With Marc gone, I've had the TV on a little more, just to create some noise in the house. I haven't found too much that I'm fond of or obsessed with, but it's definitely a start. Indeed. I watched TV.
