This summer we had so much fun exploring our beloved D.C. area. Just a few pictures to remind us of fun times.
A friend and I braved a local hike with our kids sans husbands sometime in early May. I was so proud of us because, hey, that's 5 kids, including one infant. Great Falls is one of my favorite spaces. The waterfall is impressive and the surroundings and genteel walk and perfect-for-littles hike that we went on are memories I hope to never forget!
Claire was such a great hiking buddy in the moby wrap and my girls rocked it! They found a snake, leaves, jumped off rocks, overturned rocks, spotted lots of wildlife... you name it. They are GREAT outdoorsy ladies!
Marc was playing volleyball while we were hiking. That is his sport passion and I hope he passes it on to the girls and that they pick it up. I'll tolerate it, if only because I feel as if my girls will need to see a female role model alongside their dad. I love watching Marc play. And he's up for it any weekend!
And one of our local favorites is Butler's Orchard. We've gone here to pick all sorts of berries, peas, pumpkins... I would definitely say that my girls reap the greatest harvest from picking blueberries. we have lots of frozen fruit for smoothies now!
