Marc had some big schmig important exam in Chicago in early June. We decided to turn it into our anniversary celebration (plus baby because I was/am still nursing). What a sweet (and smart!) guy. I'm so grateful he was willing to check out Chicago with me even though he could have been stressing out and studying for his exam like all the other radiologists.
We ate good food. (Above was with some of his coworkers at the Purple Pig - delish!)
We saw and loved 'The Bean' or Cloud Gate at Millennium Park.
I spent a morning with just my little Claire, shopping and eating.
We were surprised by how much we loved Chicago! Aside from the absolutely freeeeezing first day (where we took one of the awesome architectural boat tours!), we fell in love with the architecture, the water, the food, the public transportation, the museums, the open spaces, and history of the city.
Such a fantastic, and unprecedented anniversary celebration! It's usually just going out to dinner for us. So this tops the list and will probably serve as the 'big 10 year' anniversary celebration as well. I love that guy. And yes! He totally passed the exam with flying colors!
P.S. Thanks to our friends, the Hubands, for babysitting our older girls for 3+ days in order to make this possible! Yes, we owe them. And our time is coming...

Claire has such a happy, loveable face. I'm glad you had such a fun trip!
