I said, Brrr!

I'm in Utah. And while this trip is beginning exactly as I anticipated (luxurious home, niceties of double the hands when caring for my girls, eating meals without having to contribute much - thanks, parents!!!), there is one let down to this trip which is really devastating in my book: the cold.

Okay, cold may be hyperbole, but chilly and NOT SPRING are pretty apt descriptions of the weather here. I was looking forward to running around in the backyard and sitting on the porch to do research, basking in the sun. Yeah. I'm not going outside! It is unpleasantly below my threshold of "warm." So, while I am happy to be here with family and chilling in my parent's posh home, there is a part of me that is wishing I were in the 86 degree weather of Maryland right now.

Signing off, from the couch right next to our blazing basement fireplace,
Nat

P.S. Madeleine and my mother are impervious to the weather and have been frolicking outside for hours today. I will set aside my distaste of the deficient degrees and enjoy a little belated Easter egg hunt with Madeleine this evening. I will.
