Happy Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers (of all sorts and kinds and ways) today! I wanted to post these pictures. Marc's dear mom on our wedding day. Awwww. She's a wonderful woman with much service in her bones and heart. And I'm so grateful that she raised Marc well... 'cuz I DO love him so much! A mother to seven (and probably countless others who she sits for, cares for, etc.) wonderful kids ...Happy Mother's Day to you, DonnaLee!

And an ode to my mother. Mama! Marmi! Isn't she a classy lady? I mean, really... she's so gorgeous! I think these three pictures, of all the pictures that I could include are pretty telling of who she is. The first one, she's helping me get ready... to be married! And that's all she's done all my life... helped me in EVERY way possible. Probably my greatest support. In school, emotionally, in values, in my dreams, in my accomplishments, in my weaknesses, in my travels, and in my testimony. She's always there to help. Always supportive. She's stood by me through every important (and mundane) step of my life and has been rejoicing with me as I soon become a mother. The next picture is also very telling... she's so funny! And we're often so funny together! Here we are trying to get our mouths NOT to smile because by then, smiling hurt! She's the most childlike, fun person at heart. She sings, does funny faces, laughs, she's... goofy. Not a lot of people know that about her because of her gracious exterior, but she's a goofy! She does all sorts of kid things and enjoys it, loves to have fun. And I love that she passed that on to me and that we can goof off together! The last picture is... a picture of us: mother and daughter. We look happy, non? Because we ARE! Not much to say except... wow... I love her and am grateful for all she's given me, my family, and the world. That's my mama!!!! Happy Mother's Day!
