Easter Eggs to Celebrate

Being as how I don't have kiddies yet, Marc and I haven't really been all-out in our holiday celebrations... but I miss it! Because I used to be a big fan of very theme-filled, decorated, delicious holiday celebrations - big or small! Ever since college (or at least my post-RA days) and getting married, I've managed to cover the "spiritual" aspect of most holidays in a related FHE, but getting out the decor and such hasn't happened much. Well, changing of the guards... I'm going to greater efforts to ~*celebrate*~ our holidays from this day forth!

To start, here's an idea for Easter, especially since I never have food dye in my kitchen..
Organic Easter Egg Dyes
from my fav - Nat'l Geographic site. Aren't they quite beautiful?

Goal: to have an Easter Egg Hunt for Marc on Sunday! Wahee!

  1. I hope that Marc had a fun Easter Hunt. I do have kids and don't get as "into" the themes and celebrating as some. The organic coloring is great! Happy (late) Easter!

  2. It is fun to hear from you Natalie!! Congratulations on the pregnancy--how far along are you (when's the big day?). As for going to school and having a baby at the same time--I know all about that. I'm finishing up my masters (I'll be a pediatric nurse practitioner) and let me tell you, it is DEFINATELY hard to be in school and have kids at the same time. You feel really torn. I love doing what I do but I also want to be home with my daughter first and foremost. It is also difficult finding good daycare/childcare and that's something that you have to consider. BUT, I am able to do school and baby...if a bit crazy at the same time. I guess my best advice is to pray about it and you'll know what to do. Good luck and send me a line and we'll catch up!!!

  3. Eek! As an update... I bought the eggs on Saturday night after a RS activity. And then Sunday morning I got ready for church and fixed a ham. There was no organic egg dying, no Easter Egg Hunt. Boo on me! But next year for sure! Good thing Marc is forgiving!
