Um.... How shall we say this?

Rumor has it that the population of Philadelphia is welcoming a new citizen within its city limits around the 29th of May. Not much is known about this unidentified person, but current reports say that he or she is likely quite small, may enter screaming and naked, and has genetic links to Marc and Natalie Tolley of Germantown.

Marc slipped one past the goalie!

Some people might call our little trip to Paris a second honeymoon. We looked at it more like a ‘babymoon’!

Nathalie est enceinte!

Natalie: Estoy embarazada!

Approximately four months ago in the ampulary region of the uterine tube, a spermatozoa penetrated the corona radiata and then the zona pellucida. The fusion of the ooyctye and sperm membranes led to cortical zona reactions, after which the resumption of the second myotic division led to the metabolic activation of the egg. And this was just the beginning… Cleavage and compaction occurred and about 6 days later a blastocyst formed and implanted in the uterus. Actually, if you want further details of this sort, quiz Marc.

And behold, a child will be born unto us. And there shall be much rejoicing.

In ~5 ½ more months, Dennis, May, Grant, and DonnaLee are going to be grandparents!

In ~5 ½ more months, Alissa and Susan will be aunties!

In ~5 ½ more months, Brian, Ryan, Brett, Nathan and Jesse will be uncles!

It’s a lot to live up to. Marc’s the first child in his family. I’m the first in mine. It was a lot of pressure to then create the first grandchild on both sides of the family. Whew! We did it!

Marc’s practicing a new mantra: “Yo soy tu papa!”

We could say Natalie is barefoot and pregnant. But due to weather, Natalie is bundled in 2 pairs of socks and pregnant.

As much as we love the stories “Goldilocks and the Three Bears,” “The Cat in the Hat,” and “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” we’ve been reading them each night more for the baby’s benefit than our own.

K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes loves. Then comes marriage. Then comes a baby in the baby carriage!
